About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Treasury Consultant to join our team at Equitable Bank. As a Treasury Consultant, you will be responsible for performing Asset Liability Management (ALM) modeling for credit union clients across Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Asset Liability Management (ALM) Modeling: Develop and implement ALM models for credit union clients to assess their interest rate risk, profitability, liquidity, and capital management.
  • Client Advisory Services: Provide professional advice to credit union clients on interest rate risk management, profitability, liquidity, and capital management.
  • Model Enhancement and Support: Assist in the development and enhancement of ALM models, as well as provide support to the Treasury Consulting team on other activities related to model enhancement, training, and client engagements.
Requirements
  • Education: University education with a focus on Finance/Accounting, or Business.
  • Experience: Treasury experience would be an asset, but individuals with a background within the financial industry may also be successful.
  • Skills: Financial modeling and creative problem-solving skills, with a keen personal interest in economic and financial environment.
  • Technology Skills: Strong technology skills with Excel and Word are necessary.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong inter-personal skills and the ability to work with credit union's senior leadership (General Managers, Senior Analysts, CFOs/CEOs, VPs, Directors).
