The Funeral Director will be responsible for coordinating and conducting funeral services, ensuring that all aspects of the process are handled with dignity and respect. This includes working with families to plan and execute funeral services, preparing and presenting the deceased, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Consult with families to plan and coordinate funeral services, including selecting music, flowers, and other elements.
  • Prepare and present the deceased for viewing and burial or cremation.
  • Maintain accurate records of funeral services, including attendance, donations, and other relevant information.
  • Coordinate with other funeral home staff to ensure smooth execution of funeral services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local funeral homes, cemeteries, and other service providers.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in funeral service.
Requirements:
  • Funeral Director Licence
  • Embalmer Licence
  • Driver's License
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Criminal record check
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in funeral service or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
