In this role, you will play a vital part in providing comprehensive support and resources to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. Your expertise will contribute to improving the well-being of our community by facilitating access to care, connecting clients with essential services, and empowering them on their journey to recovery.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough social and psychosocial assessments to understand client needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide counseling and support to individuals and families facing mental health concerns.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and therapists, to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
- Advocate for clients' rights and needs within the healthcare system.
- Connect clients with community resources and support networks.
- Educate individuals and families about mental health conditions and available treatment options.
We are looking for a qualified candidate with:
- A recognized Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work.
- Current registration with the British Columbia Association of Social Workers (BCASW).
- Experience working with individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
- Strong assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
- A commitment to providing culturally sensitive and trauma-informed care.
