About the Role

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Mental Health Worker 2 to join our team at Chapman House in Sechelt, BC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide care and support to individuals with severe and persistent psychiatric illness.
  • Participate in case planning, interviewing clients to identify needs and developing care plans.
  • Act as an advocate to assist clients in resolving conflicts and accessing external resources.
  • Implement care plans, observe resident behavior, and provide feedback on progress.
  • Provide supportive counseling, demonstrations, and behavioral management to assist residents in developing life skills.

Qualifications
  • Diploma in Community Social Service.
  • Two years recent experience working with individuals with severe and persistent psychiatric illness or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Valid BC Driver's License.
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certificates.
