Social Worker Position in Sechelt

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Social Worker to join our Emergency team in Sechelt, BC. As a Social Worker with our organization, you will provide clinical and consultative social work services to clients and families, conducting social and psychosocial assessments, and providing individual, family, and group counseling services.
About the RoleThis is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work in a fast-paced emergency setting, providing critical support to clients and families in need. As a Social Worker with Vancouver Coastal Health, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities- Provide clinical and consultative social work services to clients and families
- Conduct social and psychosocial assessments
- Provide individual, family, and group counseling services
- Maintain client records
- Attend interdisciplinary clinical/case conferences
- Identify applicable community resources for clients
- Contribute to the effectiveness and development of community resources

QualificationsTo be considered for this role, you must have a Master of Social Work from an accredited School of Social Work and one year of post-Baccalaureate experience in a healthcare setting or one year of experience in a related setting. You must also be currently registered with the British Columbia College of Social Workers.
