Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Accountant to join our Domestic Tax team at BDO Canada LLP. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in providing exceptional tax services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with tax authorities on tax audits and appeals to ensure compliance and minimize risks.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to help clients capitalize on business opportunities and optimize their tax positions.
  • Conduct thorough risk analysis and document tax filing positions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and review personal, corporate, and trust income tax returns, as well as other tax information forms.
  • Research complex tax issues and prepare detailed reports and client letters to provide expert advice.
Requirements
  • Hold a CPA designation or be nearing completion.
  • Enrolled in or in the process of enrolling in an in-depth tax course.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in public accounting with a specialization in tax.
  • Strong understanding of relevant tax legislation, corporate, personal, and trust tax compliance and planning.
  • Excellent teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work.
