We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at 2575551 Ontario inc. as a key member of our culinary operations.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and Implement Operational Procedures
Develop and implement effective methods to meet work schedules, ensuring seamless food preparation and service.
Supervise and Coordinate Food Service StaffOversee and direct the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, providing guidance and support as needed.
Train and Develop StaffTrain staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
Estimate and Manage InventoryAccurately estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Recruit and Hire StaffIdentify and hire qualified food service staff, ensuring a skilled and dedicated team.
Ensure Quality ControlMonitor and ensure that food and service meet the highest quality control standards, maintaining a positive reputation for our establishment.
Prepare Budgets and ReportsDevelop and manage budgets, as well as prepare reports on stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business growth.
Address Customer ConcernsRespond promptly and professionally to customer complaints or concerns, ensuring exceptional customer service.
Maintain Records and ReportsAccurately maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable data for business analysis.
Prepare Food Order SummariesPrepare detailed summaries of food orders for the chef, ensuring seamless communication and execution.
Culinary Knowledge and ExpertisePossess in-depth knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres, ensuring a high level of culinary expertise.
Supervise and Check Food PreparationSupervise and inspect the assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys, ensuring exceptional presentation and quality.
Establish Work SchedulesDevelop and implement effective work schedules, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.

Requirements- Leadership and Supervisory Experience
Minimum 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in the food service industry.
Education and QualificationsSecondary (high) school graduation certificate, with a strong focus on culinary arts or a related field.
Language and CommunicationExcellent oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff, customers, and management.
Work Environment and Physical DemandsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
