Key Responsibilities:

· Engage with current and potential users to comprehend and document their information requirements, grounded in a solid understanding of business processes and the critical decisions users must make.
· Provide business analysis support for business intelligence projects to ensure timely completion.
· Collaborate with IT colleagues to identify and document available data sources and their interconnections.
· Work alongside team members to design effective solutions.
· Partner with colleagues to establish robust reconciliation and control processes.
· Collaborate with quality assurance teams to verify that business requirements are fulfilled.
· Partner with business representatives and user groups to grasp business decisions and related reporting and analysis needs.
· Conduct requirements gathering, user interviews, workshops, and prototyping.
· Document requirements in a manner that is clear to both business partners and IT teams.
· Analyze and document available data sources and data flows consistently and to established standards.
· Collaborate with colleagues to design solutions that align with identified business needs.

Experience & Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in a business analyst role throughout the entire lifecycle of data warehousing/business intelligence projects.
Experience working as a business analyst within the insurance sector, particularly in the London Market.
A comprehensive understanding of the commercial insurance and reinsurance landscape.
Degree-level education.
Proven knowledge of the key factors contributing to success in data warehousing/business intelligence projects, including user engagement, prototyping, master data management, data quality, and educational strategies.
Experience in collaborative work within an agile framework.

Technical Skills:
· Proficient in SQL, data analysis, reporting, and modeling tools.
· Familiarity with SQL Server and the Microsoft BI stack, including Master Data Services and Data Quality Services, is desirable.
