Position Overview

The Physiotherapist specializing in chronic pain will report directly to the Health Services Manager within the Primary Health Care sector. This role focuses on employing behavior modification techniques, case management, and client-centered methodologies in both individual and group environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate effectively with Primary Health Care personnel, family doctors, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide essential guidance and support to clients, including information on suitable programs and resources to enhance health and wellness.
  • Develop, implement, and assess exercise programs tailored to individual needs.
  • Participate in team assessments and lead chronic pain self-management workshops.
  • Travel to various community locations as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
  • Membership with the relevant physiotherapy regulatory body.
  • Minimum one year of experience in managing chronic pain within a community or primary health care setting.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for work-related travel.
  • Certification in exercise specialization is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of health promotion strategies and behavior change principles.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Work Schedule

  • Permanent full-time position with a bi-weekly commitment.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
