Physiotherapist Opportunity
Nova Scotia Health is seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our team at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. As a Physiotherapist, you will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities.
About the Role
- Assess and diagnose patients with actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities
- Develop and implement treatment plans to improve patient outcomes
- Provide education and communication to patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Supervise and evaluate physiotherapy students and assistants
About You
- Bachelor's degree or entry-level master's program in Physiotherapy from an accredited university
- Membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists (provincial licensing body)
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Computer skills (statistics input, word processing, Outlook)
- Annual Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation certification (BCLS)
- Additional courses/education/training in specialized areas or practice (e.g., cardio-respiratory techniques, acupuncture, stroke rehabilitation, manual therapy, balance training)
- Competencies in other languages an asset (French preferred)
