Physiotherapist - Pain Management Specialist

Position Overview
The Physiotherapist will report directly to the Health Services Manager, focusing on Primary Health Care, Chronic Disease Management, and Wellness. This role involves utilizing behavior modification techniques, case management, and client-centered strategies in both individual and group environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively with Primary Health Care personnel, family doctors, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide guidance and support to clients, including information on relevant programs and services that cater to their health and wellness needs.
- Develop, implement, and assess exercise programs tailored to individual client requirements.
- Lead chronic pain self-management groups and participate in team assessments.
- Engage in problem-solving and share responsibilities within a highly collaborative interdisciplinary team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
- Membership with the relevant provincial physiotherapy regulatory body.
- Experience working with individuals experiencing chronic pain in a community-based setting.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for travel to various community locations.
- Preferred certifications in exercise science or related fields.
- Strong understanding of health promotion strategies and behavior change principles.
- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.
Work Schedule
- Permanent full-time position with a total of 75 hours bi-weekly.
- Shifts may include days, nights, and weekends.
