About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients who present with actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities.

You will provide service in outpatient, inpatient, and community settings, educating and communicating with other health disciplines, the general public, family members, and caregivers. You will also provide supervision and evaluation of physiotherapy students and supervision of assistants.

Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills are required. The successful applicant may be required to provide services anywhere within the Rehabilitation Services portfolio.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or entry-level master's program in Physiotherapy from an accredited university
  • Membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists (Provincial licensing body)
  • Computer skills (statistics input, word processing, Outlook)
  • Annual Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation certification (BCLS)
  • Physiotherapy is a diverse profession requiring additional courses/education/training in many specialized areas or practice, e.g., cardio-respiratory techniques, acupuncture, stroke rehabilitation, manual therapy, balance training, etc
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours
  • Permanent Full-time, 75 Hours Bi-weekly
Compensation and Benefits

$42.89 hourly
