About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Partie to join our team at George Restaurant. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Cost Management: Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to ensure optimal profitability.
  • Culinary Leadership: Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to cooking staff, and create new recipes to enhance our menu offerings.
  • Staff Training and Development: Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food, and train staff in food handling and preparation procedures.
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Plan menus that meet quality standards, and ensure that food is prepared and presented to the highest standards.
  • Supply Chain Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Team Management: Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff, and provide guidance and support to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with the ability to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
