Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Coordinator to join our team at the Gwich'in Collaborative Government. The successful candidate will provide administrative support, manage the office, and ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to visitors, participants, and the general public.
  • Manage the office phones, mail, and correspondence.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including data entry, typing, and filing.
  • Coordinate the use of the training boardroom and ensure its setup for users.
  • Ensure the main entrance of the office is locked at designated times.
Collaboration with GTC Corporate Services
  • Collect and distribute mail from the main GTC office.
  • Perform administrative duties, such as typing notes and letters, and addressing labels and envelopes.
  • Provide backup support on the GTC main switchboard.
Management of GTC Craft Store
  • Operate and maintain the GTC Craft Store, including sales to the public and inventory management.
  • Receive and operate the POS machine for all cash, debit, and credit sales.
Requirements
  • Completion of a Certificate in Office Administration or related field.
  • One to two years of office administration and/or customer service experience.
  • Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A valid class 5 driver's license.
  • Experience working in the non-profit or public sectors or in an Indigenous Government/Organization, preferably in a northern context.
