Job Title: Special Needs Educational Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Educational Assistant to join our team at Summit Micro School. As a Special Needs Educational Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special needs in a children's program setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist students individually or in small groups with assignments and reinforce learning and retention concepts under the supervision of a classroom teacher.
  • Supervise students during school and extracurricular activities.
  • Assist students with integration into the classroom and school setting.
  • Tend to the emotional well-being of children.
  • Assess social developments.
Work Experience with Special Needs Students:
  • Emotionally disturbed students.
  • Students with assistance needs for communication.
  • Students with intellectual disabilities.
Experience with Special Needs Children:
  • Autistic children.
  • Children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) or attention deficit disorder (ADD).
  • Children with behavioral issues.
  • Children with learning disabilities.
