Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales Manager to join our team. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing the strategic coverage of all on and off premise outlets in sales team territory, driving volume and growing net sales value to deliver the annual plan and beat the competition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Motivate Direct Reports: Train, coach, and lead direct reports to deliver maximum impact in the market.
  • Effective Leadership: Lead direct reports effectively by clearly communicating roles and responsibilities, expectations, and deliverables.
  • Territory Coverage Plan: Manage Territory Coverage Plan to ensure excellent execution around time management and utilization of resources.
  • Ongoing Training and Development: Ongoing training and development of Territory Managers and Territory Associates through continued instruction during regularly scheduled in-field accompaniment, market surveys, and observance of sales teams meetings.
  • Tools and Resources: Ensure all tools are in place to support attainment of goals and objectives.
  • Customer Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customer base.
  • Results Assessment: Provide ongoing and current assessments of the results of plans by channel, key account, and individual customer.
  • Distribution and Growth: Ensure distribution of brands in key purchasing areas within accounts and grow distribution of brands into existing accounts, including new products, and new sizes of existing products.
  • New Account Development: Prospect, quantify, and qualify all new accounts visited to determine potential fit with brand portfolio.
  • Goal Setting and Progress Assessment: Assign goals by individual and assess progress by territory/account for distribution, volume, profit, and sell-through execution.
  • Market Intelligence: Obtain and communicate updated market competitive information.
  • Professionalism: Demonstrate and exhibit high levels of professionalism with internal and external customers.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Experience: 4-5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational and communication skills (written and verbal), strong sales background with solid understanding of company selling procedure, sound judgment and problem-solving skills, excellent leadership capabilities with strong presentation and interpersonal skills, strong organizational and multi-tasking capabilities, proficient in MS Office, track record in coaching, people management, and team development, capable of seeking out new ideas, exhibit initiative, and be proactive, manage complex customer relationships, strong competitive intelligence within the marketplace, excellent negotiation and persuasive selling skills, knowledge of Liquor Board Regulations, market trends, and competition is critical.
