About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Cashier to join our team at Dépanneur Lemoyne. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the sales floor and ensuring a seamless customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign Sales Workers to Duties: Effectively manage and coordinate the activities of sales staff to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a team of sales professionals who embody our company values and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Order Merchandise: Source and procure high-quality products that meet our customers' needs and expectations.
  • Authorize Return of Merchandise: Process returns and exchanges in a fair and efficient manner, ensuring customer satisfaction and minimizing losses.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage schedules that meet the needs of our customers and staff, while ensuring adequate coverage and minimizing overtime.
  • Sell Merchandise: Provide exceptional customer service, answer questions, and make recommendations to drive sales and increase customer loyalty.
  • Prepare Reports: Analyze sales data, identify trends, and provide insights to inform business decisions and drive growth.
  • Resolve Issues: Proactively address customer complaints, supply chain disruptions, and other issues that may arise, ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Organize and Maintain Inventory: Manage inventory levels, track stock, and ensure that products are accurately priced and displayed.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Lead and motivate a team of sales staff, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure they meet their performance goals.
  • Manage Cash: Process transactions, manage cash handling, and maintain a secure and accurate cash handling system.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a retail management or supervisory role.
  • Language: Fluency in French is required.
