Hotel Clerk Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Hotel Clerk Supervisor to join our team at 686949 NB LTD. As a key member of our hotel operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our hotel staff, ensuring seamless guest experiences, and maintaining high standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure efficient hotel operations.
  • Establish and maintain work schedules and procedures to meet business needs.
  • Perform same duties as workers supervised, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Prepare and submit reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to enhance productivity and product quality.
  • Assist guests with special needs, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.
  • Coordinate, assign, and review work to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Hire and train staff in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies.
  • Maintain operation of computer systems, equipment, and machinery, arranging repair work as needed to ensure business continuity and customer service delivery.
  • Requisition materials and supplies to support hotel operations.
Requirements:
  • 3-4 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in the hotel industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, guests, and management.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor in fast-paced environments.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
Working Conditions:
  • Work in a fast-paced hotel environment, with frequent interactions with guests and staff.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical demands of the job include standing for long periods, lifting up to 25 pounds, and bending/stooping.
