Your Role at Arc'teryx:

As a Lead Color Strategist for Men's Apparel, you will spearhead the color innovation journey from initial concept to final production, influencing every item within the Men's line. Your leadership will ensure the successful launch of seasonal collections, maintaining a competitive edge through recognized color excellence in our Men's offerings. You will advocate for the color development process in alignment with Arc'teryx's brand ethos, design principles, and color merchandising strategies.

Meet Your Future Team:

The Color & Graphics Team serves as a critical link between product design and visual merchandising, enhancing the customer experience. We blend creativity, design, process, and logistics to realize the Arc'teryx color and graphics vision.

As the Lead Color Strategist – Men's, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Building, mentoring, and leading a high-performing team of color designers.
  • Guiding the color designers through the creative process and ensuring all color specifications align with Arc'teryx's aesthetic standards.
  • Forecasting color trends for product lines and collaborating to create cohesive collections that surpass industry benchmarks.
  • Developing color palettes that reflect sociological insights, global trends, and regional preferences while embodying the essence of Arc'teryx.
  • Partnering with designers to create innovative and manufacturable products.
  • Working with the Merchandising team to devise seasonal strategies, retail flow plans, and region-specific assortments.
  • Driving color merchandising initiatives through optimal outfit coordination and cross-merchandising strategies.
  • Consulting on accessories within our specialized categories.
  • Delivering commercially viable color assortments by analyzing metrics and insights from various business channels.
  • Optimizing color design across a diverse raw material matrix to ensure successful application on textiles.
  • Managing the color lifecycle of products to balance timelines with the creative process.
  • Establishing a network of industry contacts specializing in color development.
  • Implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and quality assurance in the color development process.
Future Projects You May Engage In:
  • Creating and presenting the color vision for both seasonal and evergreen collections.
  • Collaborating with the Design team on color palettes and graphic development.
  • Partnering with Visual Merchandising and Merchandising teams to enhance guest experience.
  • Working with Supply Chain teams on logistical frameworks.
  • Sharing seasonal direction with Brand and Commercial teams.
Are You Our Next Lead Color Strategist – Men's Apparel?
  • You possess an Apparel Design Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • You have over 7 years of experience in color and fashion.
  • You demonstrate an exceptional sense of color harmony.
  • You have extensive knowledge of color theory.
  • You exhibit a superior level of color acuity.
  • You understand diverse materials and are eager to learn about their technical capacities.
  • You have experience in line development.
  • You have a proven track record of delivering successful commercial collections.
  • You are familiar with Arc'teryx products and their applications.
  • You have advanced skills in the Adobe suite.
  • You possess excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying ideas visually and verbally.
  • You understand the retail buying and line development process.
  • You are knowledgeable about manufacturing timelines.
  • You can adhere to critical paths and deadlines.
  • You are a proactive and creative problem solver.
  • You pay strong attention to detail.
  • You demonstrate leadership and influencing capabilities.
  • You have a keen awareness of global markets and cultural differences.

Compensation: The estimated salary range is CAD$105,000 - CAD$130,000, based on skills, experience, and education.
