Job Title: Bilingual Customer Service Broker

We are seeking a highly skilled and bilingual customer service broker to join our team at the Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan (OTIP). As a key member of our brokerage team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our members, resolving complex issues, and assessing risks for automobile and property policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to telephone inquiries and written requests, processing changes directly into the computer system and applying proper underwriting standards.
  • Resolve product and service problems, clarifying member complaints, determining the cause, and selecting the best solution.
  • Attract potential members by answering questions and providing information regarding products and services.
  • Process rewrites and remarkets following established new-business guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of insurance transactions and update current rate manuals for all markets.
Requirements:
  • Fluency in French is required.
  • RIBO license is required; candidates without a license will be enrolled in the RIBO training course.
  • Completion of or commitment to complete CIP Principles and Practice, Property 1, and Automobile insurance courses.
  • Experience in personal lines automobile and property insurance is an asset.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications.
