About the Role

Hancock Insurance Brokers Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Insurance Broker to join our team. As a key member of our sales and service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and driving sales growth through the sale of personal and commercial insurance policies.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Policy Sales and Service
  • Provide quotes and close sales for new home, tenants, auto, and commercial insurance policies
  • Work with clients and insurance company underwriters to discuss coverage best suited for policyholders' individual needs
  • Review applications to verify correct coverage before binding
Customer Service and Support
  • Provide superior customer service by answering questions about policies, coverage, deductibles, claims, and premiums
  • Put through policy changes with attention to detail
  • Review renewing policies for opportunities to apply new discounts and/or remarket clientele
Qualifications and Experience
  • At least one year of customer service experience as a personal and/or commercial lines registered insurance broker in Ontario is preferred
  • A level 1 RIBO license held in good standing
  • Experience using PowerBroker, Applied Rating Services (Compu-Quote), and insurance company portals
  • CAIB, CIP, CRM, and/or a relevant post-secondary degree in a related discipline is an asset
