Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and bilingual Insurance Broker to join our team at the Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan. As a key member of our Broker Administration department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our members, resolving complex insurance issues, and assessing risks for automobile and property policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service
    • Respond to telephone inquiries and written requests from members, providing accurate and timely information about our insurance products and services.
    • Resolve member complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Insurance Risk Assessment
    • Assess risks for automobile and property policies, ensuring that all necessary information is collected and processed accurately.
    • Apply underwriting standards and guidelines to determine the level of risk associated with each policy.
  • Product and Service Information
    • Provide detailed information about our insurance products and services to members, including coverage options and benefits.
    • Answer general account inquiries and provide assistance with policy changes and updates.
  • Business Development
    • Attract new business opportunities by providing exceptional customer service and building strong relationships with members.
    • Meet or exceed sales targets and objectives, increasing revenue and growth for the company.
Requirements
  • Education and Certifications
    • RIBO license is required; candidates without a RIBO license will be enrolled in the RIBO training course and required to obtain their license within the first three months of employment.
    • Completion of or commitment to complete the following three insurance courses: CIP Principles and Practice, Property 1, and Automobile.
  • Language Skills
    • Ability to communicate in French is required.
  • Technical Skills
    • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications.
