About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee the Access to Information unit at WCB Alberta. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for leading a team of 30 employees in providing timely and accurate information to stakeholders, while balancing privacy and the right to know.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to improve process and service delivery
- Collaborate with the Appeals Commission and external stakeholders to resolve issues and improve services
- Communicate effectively with workers, employers, and their representatives to maintain and build positive relationships
- Manage the team's budget and resources to ensure financial responsibility
- Proactively promote a safe and healthy workplace
- Work cooperatively with other units to facilitate a safe and early return to work for injured workers
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Business Management or similar discipline
- Supervisory experience with leadership, recruitment, performance development, coaching, and mentoring
- Superior communication, decision-making, planning, and customer service skills
- Computer literacy and experience with WCB technology
- Working knowledge of Workers' Compensation Act and WCB policies and procedures
- Knowledge and experience applying FOIP Act
