About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Child and Youth Worker to join our team at Pluming Eagle Lodge Ltd. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to children and youth in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Case Management: Develop and implement individualized plans to meet the unique needs of each child or youth, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
  • Life Skills Training: Teach and facilitate life skills workshops to promote independence, self-esteem, and confidence in children and youth.
  • Behavioral Support: Implement behavior management programs to address challenging behaviors and promote positive relationships.
  • Community Linkages: Establish and maintain relationships with community agencies, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support for children and youth.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions, progress, and outcomes, as well as prepare reports and case histories as required.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience working with children and youth in a group home or similar setting.
  • Certifications: Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Certificate, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), Community Disability Studies Certificate, and other relevant certifications.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
