Role Overview

We are seeking dedicated Child and Youth Care Workers to join our team in Lac La Biche.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care and support to extremely emotionally and behaviorally challenged youth in a trauma-informed environment.
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to assess, identify, and implement the specific needs and direct program delivery for vulnerable youth.
  • Develop and implement approved plans to ensure the individual youth's needs are met and goals are achieved.
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment consistent with the centre philosophy and policies.
Working Environment

Positions in this class may work in either an open or secure environment, serving Alberta's high-risk youth population between ages 12-17.

Requirements

As a primary care provider, you will be relied upon to ensure that the individual youth's needs are identified and that approved plans are implemented and evaluated to determine achievement goals.

The Child and Youth Care Worker provides input to the multi-disciplinary team based on observations and direct interaction with the child.
