Your Role

As the Accounts Payable Administrative Coordinator, you will play a vital role within the Financial Services department.

This department is responsible for:

  • Accounts Payable.
  • Accounts Receivable.
  • Billing Operations.
  • Management of the corporate credit card program.

Your Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensuring timely and precise processing of all CBC/Radio-Canada purchase orders and other payment requests.
  • Managing tax remittances to the appropriate governmental bodies, addressing inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders regarding payments, and proposing enhancements for operational efficiency. You will also ensure compliance with organizational policies and relevant regulations.

Key Tasks:

  • Reviewing and validating invoices and payment requisitions for necessary documentation and approvals before entering them into the Accounts Payable system.
  • Overseeing the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and expense transactions, including journal entries.
  • Classifying invoices, expense reports, and payment requisitions with the correct codes in accordance with CBC/Radio-Canada's established procedures.
  • Applying appropriate sales tax treatments to all invoices, including monitoring and evaluation of Input Tax Credits and PST self-assessment.
  • Maintaining and managing vendor records in our accounting system, ensuring an up-to-date vendor database.
  • Addressing inquiries from internal clients and vendors through various communication channels.
  • Executing payment cycles, including EFT, Cheque, or Wires/ACH.
  • Investigating and resolving discrepancies in invoices.
  • Reconciling vendor accounts by verifying vendor statements.
  • Providing documentation for internal audits or information requests.
  • Performing additional duties as required to support the overall Financial Services department, which may include credit card management, accounts receivable, and billing tasks.

We Seek Candidates Who Have:

  • A post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or Business Administration or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field or similar organization.
  • Fluency in both English and French is essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both official languages.
  • A solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles.
  • Familiarity with SAP is an asset.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables, functions, and data management) and other Microsoft products.
  • In-depth knowledge of sales tax regulations is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and concentration skills.
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to resolve a variety of issues.
  • Strong judgment, initiative, and resourcefulness.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Discretion, diplomacy, and tact in communications with stakeholders.
  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a collaborative team spirit.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
