Financial Consultant

In this role, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with our MD clients through active listening and developing a deep understanding of their needs and goals.
You will work closely with clients to identify new business opportunities and help them achieve their financial objectives.
Additionally, you will be accountable for client contact preparation, documenting client notes, and identifying new business opportunities through proactive mining of your book of business.
You will also be responsible for leading the collection of deficient Know Your Client (KYC) information on newly assigned and existing accounts, ensuring orders are suitable vis-a-vis client objectives.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a university degree in business, commerce, or equivalent.
You must be IIROC licensed as a Registered Representative (IIROC-RR) and have completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), the Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH), and 90-day training.
You will also need to have a Life License (LLQP) and a willingness to complete other regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in Canada's two official languages is an asset.
You will need to have demonstrated knowledge of investment products and the ability to work independently and as part of a broader team.
You must have a high level of comfort with technology to support virtual meetings and client relationship management software CRM.
You will need to have confidence in yourself, MD's products, and in asking for the business.
You must have marketing savvy and the ability to identify opportunities for new product and service enhancements.
You will need to have a commitment to an exceptional client experience and regularly delivering an exemplary experience.
