At ApplyBoard, we're dedicated to simplifying the study abroad search, application, and acceptance process. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in shaping our government relations strategy, ensuring alignment with our business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Build and Maintain Relationships: Foster strong relationships with government officials, regulatory bodies, and industry associations to advocate for policies and regulations that support our company's interests.
- Monitor and Analyze Developments: Stay up-to-date on legislative and regulatory changes affecting the tech industry, providing strategic advice to our executive team.
- Advocate for Favorable Policies: Collaborate with internal teams to align government relations activities with company objectives, ensuring we're well-positioned to navigate regulatory landscapes.
- Develop and Deliver Briefs: Prepare and present reports, briefs, and presentations on government relations activities and policy developments, keeping our team informed and engaged.
- Manage External Consultants: Oversee external consultants to support government relations efforts, ensuring we're leveraging the best expertise to drive results.
- 10+ years of experience in government relations, public policy, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in political science, public policy, law, business, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of legislative and regulatory processes.
- Proven track record of successful advocacy and relationship-building with government officials and regulatory bodies.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate and react to regulatory changes.
- Bonus points if you're fluent in French.
- Flexible work arrangements and the ability to work from anywhere.
