Job Description

Job Title: Director of Government Relations

Job Summary:

Sanctuary AI, a world leader in building AI-based control systems for humanoid robots, is seeking a highly skilled Director of Government Relations to manage all government-related sales, grants, and legislative activities relevant to our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute government sales strategies to drive sales and foster strategic relationships
  • Build and maintain relationships with key government officials and navigate regulatory landscapes
  • Ensure compliance with government policies and regulations
  • Secure government contracts and funding opportunities to support the overall success and expansion of Sanctuary AI
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align government relations strategies with company goals

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in political science, business, or related field and/or equivalent work experience
  • ~5+ years' experience in government relations or defense sales
  • Existing network of government and defense industry contacts in Ottawa, Canada and/or Washington, D.C.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory landscapes and compliance requirements
  • Proven track record of securing government contracts and funding
  • Strategic planning and execution
  • Relationship-building and networking
  • Regulatory and compliance expertise
  • Leadership and team management
