About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Project Manager to join our team at Humber College. As a key member of our Capital Development & Facilities Management department, you will be responsible for the effective delivery of complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of project delivery, from Request for Proposal (RFP) development to post-construction operation optimization.
  • Lead diverse mechanical building services projects, including air-based and hydronic systems, boilers, chillers, rooftop HVAC, controls, and piping.
  • Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and construction teams.
  • Ensure compliance with safety guidelines, project-specific safety requirements, and financial, contractual, and administrative procedures.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including project sponsors, team members, and external partners.
Requirements
  • 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • P. Eng. designation, licensed to practice in the Province of Ontario, or equivalent.
  • 5-9 years of experience in project management and construction, with a focus on large-scale mechanical and electrical infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with project management software, including scheduling, budgeting, and risk management tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Well-organized, self-directed work habits, with a demonstrated ability to prioritize and schedule tasks in a dynamic environment.
