Turner & Townsend, a leading professional services company, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Electrical Systems Estimator to join their successful Infrastructure team in Toronto.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years' experience in Construction Cost Estimating, specializing in Mechanical, Electrical & Systems estimation, with a strong background in project management and cost control.

As a Senior Mechanical Electrical Systems Estimator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Producing comprehensive M&E cost estimates for major infrastructure construction projects
  • Providing M&E cost reconciliation estimates and value engineering recommendations
  • Engaging in probabilistic risk assessment workshops and stakeholder management
  • Providing expert advice on capital and operational expenditure to clients
  • Interfacing with project clients, stakeholders, contractors, and consultants to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Working closely with project teams to achieve clients' goals and objectives

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in reading M&E specifications and drawings, with a strong understanding of construction methods and materials
  • Experience with quantity take-offs and obtaining market prices for M&E components
  • Knowledge of estimating software used in civil engineering projects, with a strong understanding of data analysis and reporting
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in cost estimating roles, with a strong background in project finance and accounting
  • Membership of professional organizations is a plus, demonstrating a commitment to professional development and industry standards
