About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team at Federated Co-operatives Limited. As a key member of our People & Culture team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, succession planning, employee relations, and learning and development.

Talent Acquisition:

You will work closely with our leaders to recruit top talent and develop strategies to attract the best candidates. This includes creating competency-based interview guides and providing coaching opportunities to improve our recruitment processes.

Performance Management:

You will advise our leaders on best practices for performance management and provide coaching opportunities to improve their skills in this area.

Employee Engagement:

You will work with our organizational leaders and the People & Culture team to foster a positive and engaging work environment. This includes implementing initiatives to boost employee morale and job satisfaction.

Succession Planning:

You will collaborate with our current leaders to identify and prepare future leaders for key positions. This includes advising team leaders on development of career paths and growth opportunities for high-potential employees.

Employee Relations:

You will work directly with our leaders to address issues related to employment and labour standards. You will also ensure that our policies and procedures are up-to-date and compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.

Learning and Development:

You will develop and facilitate training programs to enhance the skills and career development of our team leaders. This includes promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.

Disability Management:

You will work with our Total Rewards, Health & Safety, and Risk departments to administer and support our Ability Management Program. You will also manage Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) claims and Disability claims.

Requirements:

We are looking for an individual with a minimum of 3-5 years of HR generalist experience, along with a CPHR designation or equivalent experience or designation. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills. They will also have the ability to work collaboratively and influence at all levels of the organization.
