Human Resources Generalist

About the Role:
Federated Co-operatives Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team. As a key member of our People & Culture department, you will play a critical role in providing strategic HR guidance and support to our retail operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert HR advice and guidance to retail leaders on talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, succession planning, employee relations, disability management, and learning and development.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives to enhance the organization's overall performance and culture.
- Collaborate with the Director of People & Culture to ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and labour laws.
- Develop and facilitate training programs to enhance the skills and career development of team leaders and promote a culture of continuous learning.
- Administer and support the Ability Management Program and manage Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) claims and Disability claims.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years of HR generalist experience, along with a CPHR designation or equivalent experience or designation.
- Strong understanding of HR practices, labour laws, and employment standards.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and influence at all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
