About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team at Milieu Familial les Colimaçons as a Child Care Worker Assistant. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young children and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in Housekeeping and Cooking Duties: Support our team in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our children.
  • Provide Care and Support to Infants and Toddlers: Bathe, diaper, and feed our youngest clients, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Maintain Daycare Equipment: Ensure all toys, furniture, and equipment are in good working condition and safe for use.
  • Support Early Childhood Educators: Assist our educators in keeping records, preparing reports, and discussing progress with parents and guardians.
  • Engage Children in Activities: Plan and implement fun and educational activities that promote learning and development.
  • Guide Children in Daily Routines: Assist children in developing good eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Prepare Snacks and Meals: Plan and prepare healthy snacks and meals for our children.
  • Observe and Report on Children's Progress: Monitor children's development and prepare reports for parents and guardians.
  • Participate in Staff Meetings: Attend meetings to discuss children's progress and any concerns.
Requirements
  • Secondary School Graduation Certificate: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience an Asset: While experience is not necessary, it is an asset in this role.
Work Setting

This role will be based in a daycare centre or nursery school setting, providing a safe and nurturing environment for our children.

Language

The primary language spoken in this role is French, and proficiency in this language is required.
