Position Overview

As an Assistant Educator at Milieu Familial les Colimaçons, you will play a vital role in nurturing and supporting the development of young children in a daycare environment.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
Work Environment

This position is based in a daycare center or nursery school, where you will collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist colleagues with daily housekeeping and meal preparation tasks.
  • Provide care for infants and toddlers, including bathing, diapering, and feeding.
  • Maintain and organize daycare equipment to ensure a safe environment.
  • Support early childhood educators in record-keeping and documentation.
  • Engage children through storytelling, singing, and crafting activities.
  • Guide children in developing healthy habits related to eating, dressing, and toilet use.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange the environment for meal and rest periods.
  • Observe children for any signs of learning or behavioral challenges and document findings.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and address any concerns.
  • Assist in preparing children for nap times and rest periods.
