Position: Day Camp Support Staff

We are seeking dedicated Day Camp Support Staff to assist in the integration of young participants into group activities while fostering their social development. As a support staff member, you will work alongside the camp's supervisor or animator to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere throughout camp sessions.

  • Facilitate and encourage participation of young individuals in various camp activities
  • Ensure the safety and special attention of the youth in your care
  • Inspire and engage the group of young participants
  • Address and manage any challenges that arise effectively
  • Encourage the growth of social skills among participants
  • Communicate with guardians regarding daily activities
  • Maintain comprehensive records of interventions and collaborate with camp personnel
  • Collaborate closely with the lead for specific client groups
  • Perform additional related duties as necessary

Qualifications:

  • A degree in one of the following fields is required: Leisure Intervention Techniques, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, School and Social Adaptation, Leisure, Culture and Tourism, Psychology, or Social Work
  • Relevant training or experience may also be taken into account

Employment Conditions and Requirements:

  • Completion of the DAFA certification program (33 hours)

Work Schedule:

  • Commitment for an 8-week period
