Position: Camp Day Facilitators

The Ville de Saguenay is seeking dedicated Camp Day Facilitators to assist in the integration of youth into group environments and to aid in the enhancement of their social abilities. As a facilitator, you will work in tandem with the camp's leader or animator to foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere during various camp activities.

  • Guide and encourage youth participation in a range of camp activities
  • Ensure the safety and special attention of the young individuals in your care
  • Inspire and engage the group of participants
  • Address and manage any challenges that arise effectively
  • Encourage the growth of social skills among participants
  • Communicate with guardians regarding daily activities
  • Maintain comprehensive records of interventions and collaborate with camp personnel
  • Work closely with the lead for specific client groups
  • Perform additional related duties as necessary

Qualifications:

  • A degree in one of the following fields is required: Techniques in Leisure Intervention, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, School and Social Adaptation, Leisure, Culture and Tourism, Psychology, or Social Work
  • Additional qualifications or experience may be taken into account

Employment Conditions:

  • Completion of the DAFA certification program (33 hours) is necessary

Work Schedule:

  • Commitment for an 8-week period starting in June
