BIM Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled BIM Coordinator to join our team at Diamond Schmitt Architects in Toronto. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping our design excellence and improving project workflows, software adherence, and library content.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with project teams to virtually construct buildings and develop project-specific content libraries.
  • Assist in training and project workflows, ensuring adherence to defined standards and project BIM Execution Plans.
  • Manage project models to maintain a healthy BIM database and conduct clash-detection and conflict resolution.
  • Extract model data for CoBie and dRofus, and contribute to the improvement of DSA's current Revit template.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2-year College diploma or University degree from a recognized architectural program.
  • 2 years progressive work experience in an architectural office or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent working knowledge of REVIT and strong multitasking and project management skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to work in diverse working groups.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and BIM visual programming platforms such as Dynamo.
