About the Role

Hitachi Rail is seeking a highly skilled BIM Coordinator to join our team. As a BIM Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating the BIM process, ensuring that our projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the BIM process, including schedule, risks, and issues related to BIM
  • Production and control of federated models, including model setup and maintenance of coordinate systems
  • Implement Quality Assurance/Quality Control Procedures and ensure the application of quality procedures for document emissions
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the Project BIM Manager and ensure the verification of interfaces alignment
  • Identify critical issues in the development of the project and propose mitigation actions

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with 8-10 years of experience in railway engineering context and BIM management/coordination/specialist in accordance with ISO 19650. Additional expertise in railways contexts is considered a plus.

Desirable Skills

  • Civil Works in railway context: design, installation, operation, and maintenance
  • Railway Trackworks systems: design, installation, operation, and maintenance
  • Basic knowledge of Railway Systems: signaling, traction power, telecommunication, MEPS, depot equipment, and Rolling Stocks
  • Technical support for contract matters and requirements and interfaces definition/consolidation and management

  • Autodesk BIM 360 Good
  • Bentley ProjectWise High
  • Bentley MicroStation as a plus
  • Bentley OpenBuilding as a plus
  • Bentley OpenRail as a plus
  • Oracle CDE Aconex High

Education and Languages

Civil Engineering University Degree or Equivalent Technical Background and English language proficiency.
