MedIT offers comprehensive IT services for the Faculty, emphasizing the effective use of the Microsoft 365 Platform and the establishment of a secure and robust network infrastructure for all stakeholders.
As the Associate Manager of Technical Operations & Infrastructure, you will guide and mentor teams specializing in Infrastructure, Technical Support, and AV Support, focusing on the design, implementation, and maintenance of intricate technical systems and services across our Faculty.
In collaboration with the Senior Director of Information Technology and MedIT leadership, you will oversee the ongoing development and upkeep of a reliable, modern, and enterprise-level IT infrastructure. Your role will include managing Technical Support and AV operations to facilitate medical education across multiple sites, as well as optimizing the efforts of our Application and Data Architecture teams and departmental IT units.
You will take full ownership of critical business systems, the Faculty's extensive physical network infrastructure, and various security services and systems.
Your commitment to fostering a culture of exceptional client service and adherence to IT Service Management best practices will empower our teams to deliver, monitor, and enhance performance while leveraging emerging technologies to refine our IT operations and services.
Qualifications include a university degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a relevant field, along with certifications such as PMP/PMI, ITIL, or Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Security Expert, or Azure DevOps Expert.
- Eight years of experience in enterprise IT operations, leading teams in educational, governmental, healthcare, or similar environments.
- Strong grasp of contemporary infrastructure technologies, including data centers, networks, cloud solutions, and security measures.
- In-depth knowledge of network design and secure architecture.
- Proven success with agile project management methodologies.
- Familiarity with emerging trends in educational technologies, network applications, and distance education initiatives.
- Strong financial skills, including analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience in negotiating with service providers and managing service level agreements.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusivity.
- Results-oriented mindset with the ability to cultivate a high-performance culture.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of producing high-quality, persuasive materials.
