Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate initiative and provide leadership across all project assignments.
  • Implement sound engineering principles in all designated projects.
  • Oversee project management utilizing Early Management principles.
  • Develop specifications and designs for assigned projects, ensuring all necessary drawings are prepared.
  • Generate cost and lead-time estimates for projects and conduct cost studies.
  • Ensure compliance with all requirements related to assigned projects, including building permits, environmental regulations, sanitary design, good manufacturing practices, safety standards, OSHA, and all relevant governmental regulations.
  • Specify, solicit bids, and procure necessary services and equipment to complete projects with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Supervise and coordinate installation efforts by contractors, plant personnel, and support services to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
  • Provide training to maintenance staff and operators on all newly installed equipment.
  • Conduct cost studies and estimates for annual projects.
  • Maintain standards for drawings and legends.
  • Offer technical support to peers, contractors, and maintenance teams as needed.
  • Utilize predictive technology, root cause analysis, and other innovative tools and technologies.
  • Identify and implement strategies to reduce utility and maintenance costs, leading cost-saving initiatives.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for corporate and governmental regulatory compliance.

Ensure active involvement of all stakeholders and adopt a collaborative approach in managing projects and addressing challenges.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience in capital project planning and engineering, with a background in preparing detailed designs and process flow drawings. Familiarity with batching and transfer systems and high-speed packaging machinery is advantageous. Experience with process improvement methodologies (FMEA, Six-Sigma, TPM, etc.) and leading complex projects with multiple cross-functional stakeholders is preferred.
  • Proven project management skills with a demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams with varying levels of expertise.
  • A university degree in Engineering is required.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated capability in long-range planning and executing strategic plans.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience in team management.
