About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Transportation Engineering Manager to lead our Transportation Engineering team at Collage HR. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a team of transportation engineers and technicians, overseeing project delivery, and ensuring the highest quality of work.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Team Leadership: Provide direction, training, and performance management to the transportation engineering team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality projects.
  2. Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of transportation engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  3. Client Relationships: Manage and maintain key external client relationships, ensuring we understand client needs and expectations, and delivering projects that meet their requirements.
  4. Business Development: Contribute to the growth and development of the Transportation Engineering team, identifying new business opportunities, and developing strategies to win new projects.
  5. Technical Expertise: Provide technical support to the team, ensuring they have the necessary expertise to deliver high-quality projects, and staying up-to-date with relevant and applicable local, provincial, and federal government regulations.
  6. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments and teams to ensure seamless project delivery, and contribute to the development of strategic business initiatives.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
  2. Experience: 15+ years of related transportation experience, including supervisory/management experience.
  3. Licenses and Certifications: Licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in the Province of Ontario or eligible to be licensed within six (6) months of employment.
  4. Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to quality improvement.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive compensation package, comprehensive benefits, and merit-based bonuses for performance and tenure. Salary will be commensurate with experience and ranges from $110,000 - $160,000. This position is located in either Peterborough or Bancroft, Ontario, with hybrid work options available.
