Group Leader, Network Engineering

Collage HR is seeking a pivotal leader for our expanding Network Engineering division.

This role will highlight your technical expertise as a Senior Network Engineer while allowing you to nurture and develop your team.

Are you an experienced engineering professional eager to guide a team and promote excellence in network engineering projects? As the Group Leader of Network Engineering, you will lead a talented group of professionals, ensuring the effective planning and execution of projects for various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Directly report to the Department Manager, driving innovation, quality, and growth within our dynamic division.
  • Collaborate with the Department Manager and other Group Leaders to identify and establish long-term strategic goals, systems, processes, policies, and programs from a service line perspective.
  • Provide leadership, training, performance management, professional development, and mentorship to team members.
  • Act as the primary liaison with internal and external clients, ensuring service quality standards align with client expectations.
  • Engage in business development initiatives and project pursuits to secure new opportunities.
  • Offer technical and project management expertise to support project delivery.
  • Oversee departmental budgets and financial management, ensuring financial objectives are met.
  • Ensure all team members represent the organization positively and achieve established project targets.
  • Understand and apply relevant local, provincial, and federal regulations related to the Group's work.
  • Complete additional tasks and projects as required.
Qualifications

Must be licensed as a Professional Engineer in the relevant province with a minimum of two (2) years of management experience.

Extensive knowledge of proposal submissions, project management, risk management, and contract administration principles is essential.

A solid understanding of engineering, planning, environmental, and construction theories, concepts, and regulations is required.

Proficiency in budget development and financial management within the consulting industry is necessary.

Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety regulations related to staff supervision and fieldwork is expected.

High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.

Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are essential.

Exceptional time management skills to meet critical deadlines are necessary.
