Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a member of our Diagnostic Imaging Department, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized ultrasound procedures, ensuring proper application of ultrasound techniques and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform patient care and technical activities related to ultrasound procedures
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment
- Develop and implement ultrasound protocols and procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound
- Sonography Canada certification
- Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
- Current CPR Certification
- Comprehension of technical language and ability to review manuals and participate in discussions
- Previous experience in ultrasound is an asset
- Registration with multiple ultrasound credentials is an asset
- Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset
