We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our Diagnostic Imaging team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients with heart and blood vessel conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Echo ultrasound examinations using non-invasive cardiovascular technology equipment to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- Work alongside physicians to assess patients and their conditions, using technology to provide accurate and reliable results.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.
- Develop and maintain expertise in adult congenital heart disease, TEE, dobutamine stress echo, exercise stress echo, and research echo.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technology and techniques, including Philips IE 33, Epiq 7, and Xcelera Workstations, and General Electric Vivid E95.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide excellent patient care and service.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound.
- Sonography Canada certification.
- Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure.
- Current BLS certification.
- Minimum of one year clinical experience preferred.
- Experience in a tertiary care setting an asset.
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred.
- $34.24 - $39.96 hourly.
- Market Adjustment of approximately $.23 biweekly.
- Eligibility for a benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
