Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service and build effective relationships with clients and visitors.
  • Conduct regular patrols to ensure safety, address policy violations, and document any issues.
  • Respond promptly to security alarms and emergencies with professionalism.
  • Manage crisis situations, providing support and coordinating with emergency services such as police and fire departments.
  • Implement crowd control measures and remove unauthorized individuals.
  • Prepare clear and comprehensive reports, including incident and daily activity logs.
  • Administer first aid and medical assistance as needed.
  • Utilize communication devices and software to report site activities.
  • Manage Lost & Found inquiries and items.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain a valid security license in Alberta.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities.
  • Sharp observational skills.
  • Capacity to make quick decisions while remaining calm in emergency situations with minimal oversight.
  • Physical ability to walk long distances and navigate stairs.

Educational Background:
  • High School Diploma or GED.

Certification Requirements:
  • Valid Security License.
  • An unrestricted Class 5 driver's license is an asset.

This position reports to the Client Service Manager and is classified as As Needed, with shifts available across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, including Weekends and Summers. Occasional travel may be required.
