About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Technologist to join our team at BC Public Service. As a key member of our Operations Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the sustainable management of public timber, creating jobs in our communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement operating standards for forest management practices
  • Oversee contract and technical activities to ensure compliance with legislative and environmental standards
  • Provide expertise in areas such as tenure development, road and block layout, silviculture, and contract administration
  • Contribute to the development of innovative forest management practices
Requirements
  • Graduation from an approved technical institute with a diploma or degree in resource or forestry management
  • Three years of experience in one or more operational field forestry activities
  • Registration with Forest Professionals British Columbia (FPBC) as a Registered Forest Technologist or equivalent
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver's Licence
