Forest Technologist

This is an exciting opportunity to join the BC Public Service as a Forest Technologist in the Peace-Liard Business Area. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring sustainable forest management and promoting growth and innovation.

• Quality assess contract work and develop and monitor contracts
• Ensure timber sale license harvest compliance and conduct road inspections
• Support communities by enabling sustainable forestry practices and generating local revenue

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A diploma or degree in resource or forestry management
• Registration with Forest Professionals British Columbia (FPBC) as a Registered Forest Technologist (RFT) or Registered Professional Forester (RPF)
• At least two years of experience in operational field forestry activities
