Forest Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Forest Technologist to join our team at BC Public Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring sustainable forest management practices and promoting growth and innovation in the forestry sector.

• Quality assess contract work and develop and monitor contracts to ensure timber sale license harvest compliance.
• Conduct road inspections and digital data entry to support communities and enable sustainable forestry practices.
• Engage in all aspects of forestry operations, fostering professional growth and contributing to a positive, supportive team culture.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A diploma or degree in resource or forestry management.
• Registration with Forest Professionals British Columbia (FPBC) as a Registered Forest Technologist (RFT) or Registered Professional Forester (RPF).
• At least two years of experience in operational field forestry activities, including timber harvesting, forest road engineering, silviculture, and harvest operations.
