About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at CB Canada. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our mental health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to patients with mental health conditions, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Conduct mental status exams and other assessments as required.
  • Engage with patients and families to promote recovery and well-being.
  • Participate in clinical discussions, team meetings, and patient/family conferences.
  • Facilitate groups and provide education to patients and families.
Requirements
  • Licensed as an RN with the College of Nurses of Ontario, in good standing.
  • BScN and CPMHN(C) preferred.
  • 2+ years recent experience in mental health nursing preferred.
  • Mental Health Nursing certificate preferred.
  • 1 year in Charge Nurse role preferred.
  • CPR/Basic rescuer certification.
  • Venipuncture skills required.
  • Knowledge of the Mental Health Act (MHA), and community mental health resources.
  • Knowledge of documentation standards (CNO), and privacy legislation (PHIPPA).
  • Knowledge of CBT/DBT and CPT.
  • Experience assisting in program development is an asset.
  • Experience with group facilitation is required.
  • Skilled in the treatment of psychiatric disorders, including PTSD, OCD, suicide prevention, and the management of personality disorders.
  • Current knowledge and experience specific to emergency mental health and crisis intervention.
  • Proven excellence in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability and skill in working independently and as a part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Ability to prioritize and function effectively in a demanding and challenging environment.
  • Proven ability to assume leadership.
  • Exceptional customer service.
